A cohesive design is a hallmark of a successful clubhouse architect, seen throughout the space. The clubhouse in Lake Oswego employs a neutral color palette, with bold accents and metallic touches. High ceilings and expansive windows accentuate the openness of the design, while layered textures add depth and richness. This balanced approach ensures each zone of the clubhouse is connected yet distinct, offering a unified vision that is both modern and welcoming.
Our Design Approach
The key intervention was a suspended chandelier positioned at the center of the clubhouse — a hanging sculptural element that simultaneously anchors the space and defines two distinct zones without erecting a single wall. It is the kind of move that only works when it is exactly right, and here it is exactly right. Residents moving through the space understand intuitively where the lounge ends and the leasing area begins, yet the visual connection between the two zones remains unbroken.
For the lounge seating area, we selected a floor-to-ceiling graphic wallpaper in bold dark tones with organic shapes — greens, blacks, and deep accents that create drama and energy while providing acoustic softness. The leasing side shifts to warmer wood tones, creating a welcoming, professional environment that puts prospective residents immediately at ease. The harmony between these two palettes — graphic and bold on one side, warm and grounded on the other — is what gives the finished clubhouse its sophisticated character. Neither zone competes with the other; both are elevated by the contrast.
